I direct the Pelican Leadership Academy (PLA), a special experiential learning school based upon the lakes and rivers of North America. The PLA provides local and regional youth age 6 to 18, hands on 'Life Skills' training, learning the many components of Communication, Leadership, Management & Accountability. When a strong level of competency is achieved, the PLA student qualifies to join the 'Adaptive Team', assisting myself in operating & managing the PLA 'Adaptive Kayak & Canoe' program. PLA programs focus on Community, Culture, Diversity, Disability, Adaptation & Inclusion. The PLA Graduate students are qualified to serve most all 'Special Need - Disability' individuals. Training continues daily to assure that skills are clearly maintained. PLA focuses on serving Disabled Youth, Native American Youth and Teen-age Mothers.
