Fremont Community School
Director/ Lead Teacher
I am the director of Fremont Community School, a multiaged, non-profit Waldorf-inspired, play based preschool in Seattle. We spend most of our day outside. Additionally, I own my own preschools called Tara's Tots. My preschools are committed to getting children outside rain or shine in an environment that allows for open ended free play. Teachers see their work as actively engaged in parallel work to that of the children's work (aka: play).
In September 2016 we opened ROCK! (Roots of Connection, Kids!) our first preschool/ homeschool enrichment program held exclusively in a local park.
