Associate Professor

I bring experience in a number of fields to an innovative, interdisciplinary approach to environmental education, curriculum theory and mathematics education. My embodied, arts-based approach to mathematics and environmental education is informed by my background in linguistics and languages, filmmaking, poetry and music. I am co-founder and academic advisor at the UBC Orchard Garden and Cultivating Learning Network, centres for research in teaching across the curriculum and generations in and with a garden. I also play in several bands and dance groups and am crazy about (mathematical) fibre arts with fibres we forage and grow.
