After retiring from a 33-year clinical practice, he now works to promote healthy, equitable communities utilizing the framework of the “social determinants of health.” As a founding board member of The Intertwine Alliance in Portland, OR, he actively supports the Health and Nature and RxPlay initiatives on behalf of Kaiser Permanente.
