Luis Alberto Camargo focuses his work towards reconnecting youth to nature and people to the Earth in order to build more sustainable and peaceful communities. Luis is the founder and Director of OpEPA (Organization for Environmental Education and Protection) a nonprofit organization working since 1998 in Colombia and USA (501c3) focusing on developing environmental social entrepreneurs that can work collaboratively to reconnect children and youth to nature so they can act in an environmentally responsible and regenerative manner. Luis has been a speaker on subjects including social entrepreneurship, social innovation, regenerative cultures, conservation, climate change, environmental education, environmental peace, wilderness medicine and wilderness expeditions (Planning & Experience).
