With a previous background in Horticulture, I have been an elementary teacher for over 25 years (MEd San Diego), always seeking learning experiences in nature to inspire children. Using nature, art and embedding First Nations teachings, I facilitated large scale murals, a school greening project, stepping stones...(Premiers Award for Environ. Ed 2009) . Now teaching Grade 3, further north on the Fraser River (different school district) there are new challenges for inspiring children towards environmental awareness. (And just got a new knee).
