Building on the Summit is our Conference, April 20-21, featuring keynotes speakers, hands-on workshops and networking opportunities.

Mike has been working to connect Canadians to Nature for more than 20 years. Mike has developed programs that have connected hundreds of thousands of Canadians with nature, including CWF’s Brighter Futures for Wildlife programming.

Over the course of Mike’s career he has developed conservation education programming, guided wilderness canoe trips, managed natural disaster recovery efforts, and advised the Canadian Parliament on policy.

In 2013, Mike was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal for his work connecting Canadians with nature.

Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Education, is an accomplished nature photographer and gets his two children outdoors as often as possible close to his home in Calgary.
