Our 1-day Summit on Connecting to Nature in an Urban World, April 19, features a morning plenary and roundtable sessions followed by interactive workshops and walkshops in the afternoon. Building on the Summit is our Conference, April 20-21, featuring keynotes speakers, hands-on workshops and networking opportunities.

Bill Kilburn is the leader of the Back to Nature Network, Ontario’s provincial organization representing the international children and nature movement. Among achievements, Bill co-chaired the creation of the Ontario Children’s Outdoor Charter with Ontario’s provincial government; co-created an accredited education unit for physicians on the unique health benefits of nature connection with the Ontario College of Family Physicians; co-led the creation of Ready...Set...Wonder! a guide to teaching outdoors for early years educators with Humber College Early Childhood Education; and wrote Into Nature, a how-to K-8 resource for teaching outdoors, in collaboration with key Ontario educators. Bill currently serves as an advisor for a variety of provincial, national, and international initiatives, and was a finalist for the 2016 Canadian Museum of Nature “Nature Inspiration Awards”.
