C&NN 2017 International Conference and Summit

Our 1-day Summit on Connecting to Nature in an Urban World, April 19, features a morning plenary and roundtable sessions followed by interactive workshops and walkshops in the afternoon. Building on the Summit is our Conference, April 20-21, featuring keynotes speakers, hands-on workshops and networking opportunities.

My favorite ways to get around are on cross country skis, by bicycle, or in a kayak. My passion for being self-sufficient and independent in the outdoors and my experience developing a work-based education program through the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps have lead me to work towards opening outdoor education opportunities in my city as the Youth Outdoors-Duluth Coordinator. We are building the collaborative from the ground up, a very exciting project. I'm interested in talking with you about collaboratives, building sustainability into initiatives, and engaging family focus groups in ways that promote leadership and engagement. I have a particular interest in making these opportunities culturally relevant for people from a wide range of backgrounds.
