Jill Sturdy

Nature Canada
NatureHood Program Manager
Ottawa
Jill has been working to protect wilderness and wildlife for over 15 years. Originally from Edmonton, Jill started her career working for the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) both for the chapter in Edmonton and more recently in the National Office in Ottawa. As the new NatureHood Program Manager for Nature Canada, Jill is thrilled to be part of a team that's working to encourage kids and families to get out and enjoy nearby nature.
Jill holds a BSc in Environmental and Conservation Sciences, with a major in Conservation Biology from the University of Alberta. A Lorax at heart, Jill is dedicated to protecting all things wild and hopes to instill the sense of wonder and love of nature in her young son. Jill lives south of Ottawa with her son, husband and pup where they spend most of their time in nature. You can always find her by the river or in a forest.
