Teacher, Speaker, Facilitator. Parent of two young children. About to move from urban centre to rural island in search of a more nature-filled life for my students and family. Starting a Family Nature Club, immersing my teaching further into a place-based pedagogy, actively getting as many people outside as often as I can.

I work with educators of all levels to simplify their practice by aligning it with their values and beliefs about children, childhood, and learning. I am passionate about the rights of children, the power of unstructured play, outdoor education, incorporating families into the school community and learning process, and creating a respectful community and curriculum to empower young learners. I mentor teachers and parents through explorations of inquiry-based learning, purposeful pedagogy and place-based learning.
