Known as “Cinda Wind~ the gentle breeze~” by those who join her for fun, frolic, and learning in the outdoors, Cinda has been creating exciting learning experiences connecting people to nature as director/naturalist/educator for four decades. Her current passion, in collaboration with The Ohio Miami Valley Leave No Child Inside coalition, is encouraging schools to achieve the award: “BEST SCHOOL FOR CONNECTING KIDS TO NATURE where ‘KIDS ARE HEALTHIER, HAPPIER, AND SMARTER” (inspired by Richard Louv). This project incorporates schools participating in outdoor experiences on and off site, literature incorporation in school and at home as well as the incorporation of music and art to inspire kids, teachers and parents to go explore, play and connect with the outdoors.

Cinda currently directs environmental education programming at Miami County Park District involving over 12,000 school student contacts and their families and a staff of 25 teacher/naturalists. She co-chairs the Leave No Child Inside Connect-To-Nature Collaborative in Southwest Ohio.
