The Field Museum of Natural History
Youth Conservation Action Manager
Chicago
Alison Paul is an environmental educator, outdoor enthusiast, and The Field Museum's Youth Conservation Action Manager. Alison has more than a decade of experience working in formal and informal educational settings from Colombia to Chicago in order to support the next generation of knowledgeable, passionate, and engaged environmental leaders.

Alison manages the Youth Conservation Action (YCA) program for The Field Museum's Keller Science Action Center. Alison and the YCA team work with educators to engage young people in meaningful environmental action in their communities. By working in partnership with schools, non-profit organizations, and land-owning agencies, YCA uses a place-based environmental education model to get youth excited about nature in their own back yard as well as active on local urban conservation issues. Alison supports regional and national efforts to get students engaged in conservation; she's a board member to the Outdoors Empowered Network and a member of the Mighty Acorns Leadership Team. Prior to her current position, Alison coordinated The Field Museum's high school summer program, the Environmental Leadership Internship, and the Mighty Acorns program. She has a M.A. in Social and Cultural Foundations in Education from DePaul University and a B.S. in Environmental Science from Loyola University Chicago.
