I am a 30 year veteran of theater, film and television production.
My career began in San Francisco with Colossal Pictures where I worked
as a Camera and Lighting Technician on Brams Stoker’s Dracula, the Wim
Wenders film, Until the End of the World, and various MTV Top of the Hour
spots. After Colossal I went on to serve as an Assistant Camera Operator
and Lighting Technician on Disney’s animated feature film James and the
Giant Peach. Other credits include Assistant Camera Operator on Star Wars
I: The Phantom Menace, and Monkey Bone, First Assistant Director on the
Warner Brothers’ animated series, Phantom Investigators, and Shoot
Supervisor for animation on Wes Anderson’s film The Life Aquatic With
Steve Zissou. In 1996 I turned to documentary filmmaking to pursue a film about the Spice Islands of Indonesia entitled Banda: Life of Ruins. In 1999 I joined my friend and colleague Ellen Moore to begin making 10 Summers, a film about a unique summer camp in the Sierra Foothills of California.
