Amy Bohnert is a leading scholar on how various out-of-school contexts serve a protective role in psychological and health-related outcomes, including obesity and obesogenic behaviors. Collectively, her work suggests that out-of-school contexts are essential targets of obesity-prevention efforts, particularly for those at-risk. Dr. Bohnert has also served as an evaluation consultant for the past 10 years. In this capacity she has designed and implemented multi-method, multi-site assessments to examine effectiveness of non-profits as well as community collaborative initiatives on health and well-being.
